Today was very windy but we couldn't snuggle up inside because we had places to be and things to do. Our first stop was school to support the 'anti domestic violence' month campaigners. Next stop was the clinic for Noah's 6 weeks check up. He charmed 2 nurses, a tourist and the doctor with his beautiful eyes and calm nature. So far he is reaching all of his milestones. He has gained 2kgs (he weighs 5.5kgs now), he is 4.5cm longer and his head is 6cm more in diametre. When the doctor checked his weight for dates Noah was officially labelled a chubby baby! His heart and hips are fine too. Then we came back home for a quick rest. We had to duck back down to the clinic again for Mummy to have a quick check up and then we went to school again for a meeting. Lucky Noah was wearing his cute winter jumpsuit and socks all day. Tonight was suppose to be our first night apart while I go to bingo for the first time but it is too cold and windy and Mum's friends can't make it anymore so we're going to try next week. After such a big day, we are looking forward to a warm bath and a quiet night inside out of the wind anyway.

All set and ready for the windy day. |
Watching Noah grow reminds me daily of what a miracle of life he is. The other day we had quite a restless night which wore us all out and left Noah and I sleeping in bed until about 8:30 that morning. When I woke up next to him I took time to enjoy his beautiful presence and take some mental photographs of the moment we were sharing. It was then that I realised that he had a new lot of hair growing in his bald spot that he didn't have the day before and he had visible eyebrows! All of this happened overnight - you see, absolute miracles.
With all of these amazing growth moments we have finally started seeing smiles (real ones, not fart ones). It is quite funny to listen to yourself talking to Noah when you're trying to get a smile out of him. Seeing him smile is so addictive that it seems it doesn't matter how ridiculous you look, you'll do anything to see his beautiful, sweet face light up.
