Back In Action

I'm finally up and about and not wasting 20-30mins a day wrapping my ankle and strapping a brace on it. Noah and I are back into normal morning routine of walking to childcare.

He has changed so much. He's communicating quite well with us these days. He's joking around about say 'ah Mum!' when I kiss him too much. He says 'bye Dad' in the morning when Andy leaves. He says yes when it wants something now. Most of all though, I think his favourite word in 'shoes'. In fact, I think his favourite thing right now are the $4.00 shoes I bought him on my trip away last week.

He's loves his playground and we're going to have all his mates over to play on it with him this weekend for Father's Day.

Reading a book while playing lego

When I walked into the room Noah had his arm draped across Raph and they were having a good old cuddle but just as I got the camera he moved

This is the best I could get. I say 'pat Raph' and he sniggers and pats him a few times. This particular time though he was so into his TV that I was just an annoyance

Have a Good Weekend Everyone

I may be hobbling around like an old old lady but Noah is still as chirpy as ever!
With him around, it will still be a wonderful weekend - regardless of having to have my foot up and iced.

His new special talent

You can try it too

Look - I can do it both hands

A Pirate of a Time

We all dressed up as pirates for the local school fete. It was Noah's first time on a giant slide and on a jumping castle. He also tried his first taste of fairy floss. He made a very chirpy pirate and we all had a wonderful day.
Both Andy and I felt that our worlds collided a little bit as we tried to juggle being teachers and parents on the day but as always, Noah was an absolute angel and we were able to contribute our time quite well. Of course, I had to leave at 6pm to get him home as all the excitement had him falling asleep on Andy's shoulder. He skipped dinner and struggled to stay awake in the shower. When I put him down he was out like a light. It's lovely to know he's had such a fulfilling day :D

So "scary"

"arrrrghhhh"

Doing pretty well at climbing the huge ladder to get to the top of the slide

Loving the humping castle

Mummy had to come on with me because it was sooooo much fun

Our Week

Noah has 2 of his eye teeth. That has been a 'fun' journey.
His favourite word this week is 'stuck' (duk). He says it when you're putting his arms into a t-shirt, when you're cuddling him, when you put him in his car seat and his high chair. Pretty much any time you do something with him that he didn't initiate.
He has also had a little bit of a cold. As part of his treatment we get the snotter onto him (we suck the snot out of his nose). Before you use it, it is recommended that you spray a saline solution up his nose to loosen things up so it comes out more easily. In the past he use to scream so much when we did this. Last night he giggled every time we did something. He was so fascinated with what we were doing that he didn't have time to scream or protest. This makes me see how much his level of understanding has developed in the past few months. Absolutely amazing.

This is how he sleeps

A Routine

Ha! I had every intention of listing the many reasons why it has been a long while since I last wrote a blog. That was until I re-read some of my last posts and realised that I made mention to Noah turning 14 months old. He's now 15 and a bit months.... ummmmm sorry? It has been hectic, but over a month between posts is also slightly due to continual procrastination.
So anyway, we're back to routine and hopefully I will be able to keep up to one blog post a week - fingers crossed.

So how but a catch up from the last month then hey?
