Now You're Up To Date

We've had a cold snap over the past couple of days so it's very cute to dress Noah in the other half of his extensive wardrobe. This is our life over the past week.

Playing cars with Dad outside.
Andy would drive it slowly up to Andy's feet then as Noah walked closer towards it to bend down and grab it Andy would race it off again. Noah would stand up, shake his head and say 'doe' like 'go'. So CUTE!
Dressed in his flanos

Ready for childcare one morning - all rugged up

In his onesie with feet.
This was cute too - we put it on him so that he was rugged up but still able to climb etc because he gets frustrated with pants that restrict his ability to lift his leg up to climb on things. His tummy was pushing at the seams and when we stood him up I said 'where's your feet?' and he looked down, bent over and said 'doe' like 'go' again. Then he spent some time trying to pull his feet out of them before he gave up.

Having a 'baby cino' at the tavern this morning

Being looked after by a friend while exploring

And the Gifts Just Kept Coming

That's right, Noah's first birthday went for oh, let's see... wait, it's still going. He's still receiving gifts. He has had so much practise with opening presents that the other day when we went to a birthday party for his friend, he refused to give her the present because he wanted to open it himself.

Might I just say - he loves every single gift he has been given. Yes we could open a toy store in Karumba but he is such an active and inquisitive little boy that each toy gets it's fair share of attention. And... did you know how many things can be used as a phone!? Noah loves playing phones and he's getting really good at saying 'hello'.
He's also really good at replying to 'hello, how are you?' with a mumbled version of 'good'.
When he falls he sometimes says 'uh otay' like 'OK' too. His talking is very sweet.

Easter

Yes, Easter this year... It is a little late to be writing about this but I have to because we dressed Noah up in a really cute outfit with a bunny tail and everything and so it has to be recorded for historical purposes, even if it is a month late - sorry.

Easter Bunny came the night before

Some of these were from relatives, some from us and some from the Easter Bunny

Discovering the bunny tracks

Of course, the cars were the first things to be grabbed

(the special outfit)

Opening his present from Mum and Dad

He was fascinated by the fluffy chickens

but not really quite sure what he was suppose to do with them

so he grabbed the bowl instead

then decided that he had enough guts to touch the chickens

then dropped them on the bench and turned to me sort of like 'ew, they feel strange'

then grabbed them again, turned around, dropped them

and started running over them with his cars. That always solves the problem.

We got a quick family shot before he got food all over his outfit

Some Things That Noah is Doing

Drawing... on everything he sees

He sees and pen of a pencil and he reaches out for it because he wants to draw

Pushing trucks around and making 'waa waa' sounds

Climbing down the stairs

Playing chase with the dogs

Putting lots and lots of hats on

Getting excited about swimming

Eating in places other than his high chair. He likes to pull up the cushion and sits down with afternoon tea and watch some wiggles

Enjoying the breeze (out on the boat)

Playing with the hose. He also likes watering the garden with me

Putting shoes on... everyone's shoes

Playing games with Dad - this is the hubba bubba baby club game

Having mates over for tea

Showing himself and wrapping the towel around himself

Playing phones. We say hello and he holds the phone up to his ear and say 'ah' (like yes). Then you say 'ring ring' and he turns the dial to make the phone ring.
And and few things that I haven't managed to capture with the camera...

  • He bumped his head the other night and I said - "Oh no! You bumped your head" and he nodded and said 'eh eh'. Then I said "silly billy, don't bump your head" and he walked up to the wall again and gently put his forehead on the wall. So now when I say "Noah, did you bump your head?" He walks up to a wall and gently puts his head on the wall and then turns around to look at you with this big grin.
  • Saying 'done' when he's finished eating. Sometimes you have to ask him "Noah are you done?" and he goes 'uh da' (like yes done)  and sort of nods.
