Visit From The Cold Bug

If I were to post a photo of each day this week, most of them would feature screaming faces and tantrum arms. That's right everyone - our sweet little angel throws tantrums. He is super clingy towards me these days and has figured out the most effective way to get our attention is to cry as soon and he's put down on the floor or frustrated with a toy or too lazy to crawl to us or... ... ... well pretty much anything sets him off. In his defence - a) he's very cute when he's throwing his tantrums, b) he was teething at the start of the week and c) he is ending the week with a cold. So yes, everything is a little more magnified this week. He has also been very thoughtful and shared his cold with me so I'm sure my patience is not at it's usual level. So, getting back on track - it's slim pickings in the photo department this week.
Noah has started walking behind carts and pushy bikes and vacuum cleaners...

He walked along with it as Andy vacuumed

He is also "talking" a lot more these days and cruising along the furniture. If we're lucky he may take his first steps when we're down south for a month visiting family for Christmas?!? Oh and he's begun listening to us when we say 'no'. The other night he was crawling off into the bed room to tip over the dog water and we both didn't want to get up to chase him so he kept turning and starting to crawl and Andy would say 'Noah, don't go in there, come over here to Dad Dad' and he's stop and turn and give a cheeky smile and turn to go in again. This happened about 4 times and then he got distracted by the loud siren in a TV show. It was so cute to watch him being defiant (I know I won't think that very soon!!!) and to know that he's understanding everything we say and making choices for himself now. It still amazed me how much their little brains can develop in such a short period of time!

On this particular afternoon, Noah was feeling well / doped up with panadol and Andy took him into the bedroom to play 'head butts'. He sit Noah up and faces the top of his up to Noah's stomach and this gently rams him so that he falls over. Noah cracks up laughing every time!!!
