Job description: Covering up the cuddly, warm place where Daddy finds Mummy for me when I’m hungry at night time with the bright colourful thing that I play and sleep on during the day. Of course, part of this job is to taste test the quality of the feeding station warm things so they are ready for the next night.
Hi there! This is a blog about the daily lives of Noah and I (his Mummy, Elyse). I intend to record all of our adventures here so that Noah can read all about it when he is older. Also, we live A LONG way away from all of our family so I hope that they can feel closer to us by reading all that goes on. Andrew (Noah's Daddy) and I have already begun thinking that time is going way too fast but we are loving every second of being Noah’s parents. Happy reading!

Phew
Phew, we finally have internet so I hope you all have an hour to read all the posts I just uploaded below. I suggest a big cuppa and several cookies or rows of chocolate.
These are just a few other photos that were taken over the past couple of weeks that I'm sure you don't mind me sharing.

First you gotta sneak up from behind, then you gotta grab em by the tail, then you gotta jump on their back and BITE them! Or... you can shove them in your mouth when your Mum hands them to you. |

More presents from Nanna and Grandad!!!
Nanna and Grandad sent me lots of presents yesterday. They sent me 3 gro bags to sleep in so that I stop pulling my sheets over my head and causing me to have freezing toes and no fresh air. They also got me a 'flat out' bear which is a flat sheepskin bear that I love and Mummy and Daddy have called him 'Ted Ted'. Nanna and Grandad also bought be an Eeyore rattle that fits very nicely into my mouth. Thanks Nanna and Grandad- you spoil me but I love it.
The escapee
Yesterday we had another lovely, successful, awake trip to the park. Except we had to leave Raph at home because we weren't going straight back home afterwards but Raph had other ideas! He escaped and tracked us down and boy was he proud of himself. Daddy and Noah have been working hard to fix our fence at home since, so he can't escape again.
If it ain’t broke...
Noah has a lovely routine for the day now, he especially loves going to the park. As for the sleeping... I made my first ‘mummy mistake’ by trying to get him down in his bassinet before he fell asleep in my arms etc. In theory this made a lot of sense as I was trying to prevent heartache when he had to go to childcare and they just dumped him in the cot. But he’s too little for this now. It caused an absolute nightmare in our house at night time as he refused to stay asleep in his bassinet when we put him down (this was partially due to teething also). So when you’re reading this in the future Noah... Everyone makes mistakes – even Mummy, it’s hard to believe, I know... but it’s true. So moral of the story – if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. We’re working on getting him to go down calmly into his bassinet once he’s asleep at night time, like he use to. Silly Mummy, he was SOOOO happy and content until I stepped in :S
Since working on this he is one happy, sleeping baby during the day and therefore, very happy at night time again. Here are some photos to prove it.
There better be a good reason for this
You might ask... why did Mummy take a perfectly good WHITE singlet, pour pink food colouring all over it and turn it PINK??? For the pink afternoon tea - that's why. Lucky I'm not old enough for this to effect my chances with the ladies just yet hey.

Let’s all do the wiggly woo
A friend in town has 3 children and she has given us her massive box full of children’s DVDs. I was reminiscing about my little brother (I was 11 when he went through his ‘wiggles’ phase – so I knew all the words and actions) and decided to put one of the DVDs in just to see what we’re in for when Noah is older, only to discover that he LOVES them now. He rolled over and stared and laughed at the TV for a good 30mins. By no means am I going to put one on for him every day but I found it fascinating that the wiggles have that much power that even 4mth old children love them.

The sleep monster
There must be a sleep monster living in our pram because Noah literally fell asleep 15m down the road on the way to the park today. Needless to say, the books went unread again. I decided I'd have a swing though while I contemplated how I should readjust the routine so that his nap times match up to when he doses off so that he falls asleep in the bassinet rather than the pram, car or my arms. Hmmmmmm...
